Utilising carbon to increase crop productivity and decrease environmental impact

Carbon Sequestering

Maxstim’s complex biostimulants are an easy way to make your growing practices more sustainable.

By adopting our formulas, we have demonstrated that users can reduce their fertiliser usage, improving nutrient use efficiency and reducing associated environmental damage from their overuse. You can read more about this here.

But there are other ways our biostimulants can help you attain your sustainability goals.

Agricultural crops and pasture make up a third of global arable land.  This has the potential to mitigate the effects of global warming by sequestering atmospheric CO2 in the ground as soil organic carbon.

This has numerous benefits:

  • Improves soil health
  • Supports crop productivity
  • Reduces atmospheric CO2 levels

The best way to achieve this and deliver higher quantities of carbon into the ground is to improve root strength. Greater root biomass or surface area is a means of delivering more carbon at a deeper level in the soil. Carbon is more easily retained in the soil as decomposition rates tend to be slower, therefore providing a longer-term soil carbon storage solution.

Maxstim’s inputs have proven to significantly improve root development and mass in a number of plants. Our patented Amphenox™ technology directly stimulates root growth by upregulating specific genes, providing powerful results for you and your environmental impact.
