Maxstim welcomes agronomist Leanne Coleman

At Maxstim, our commitment extends beyond developing unique technology; we strive to maintain some of the most robust and statistically significant replicated field data in the biostimulant market. To achieve this, we recruit and collaborate with well-respected experts so we are thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Leanne Coleman.

Leanne Coleman

Leanne’s journey into agriculture began with a strong practical foundation. Before attending university, she spent four years at Harrowden Turf, starting in the sales team and later advancing to a supervisory role in dispatch and logistics. This hands-on experience gave her a comprehensive understanding of the industry and its operations.

In 2019, Leanne decided to deepen her knowledge by pursuing a BSc in Agriculture. Driven by a passion for agronomy and crop production, she focused her studies predominantly on potato production. She had the opportunity to write her dissertation alongside a renowned potato agronomist in Suffolk/Norfolk, gaining invaluable insights into the industry. During her time at university, she also gained practical experience in soil sampling, enhancing her appreciation of soil value, and working on potato trials, which further solidified her expertise in this area.

Graduation

After graduating with a first-class degree, Leanne returned to Harrowden Turf, this time in the Wildflower department. In this role, she assisted in managing the department while also supporting the arable side of the business.

Leanne’s passion lies in the science of crop production, particularly root crops. She is driven by a desire to understand how farmers and growers can operate sustainably, benefiting the environment while producing financially viable crops. She is particularly fascinated by plant biology and the ways in which plant and crop potential can be maximised. This scientific approach is crucial in addressing the challenges of modern agriculture, where sustainability and productivity must go hand in hand.

Joining Maxstim

Leanne’s decision to join Maxstim was influenced by the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable products that deliver significant results in crop production. In the current climate, where sustainable farming is more critical than ever, Maxstim’s extensive research and development efforts align perfectly with her professional goals and values. The scientific rigor behind our products impressed Leanne, and having witnessed the positive impact of these products on crops firsthand, she was eager to join our dynamic and innovative team. At Maxstim, she sees an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of sustainable farming practices, an endeavour that is both professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling.
