Commercial evaluation to greenhouse-wide adoption

Oudijk - Gerberas

For ornamental growers, introducing a new growing programme is a commercial decision.

The Oudijk family in the Netherlands has been growing gerberas for more than 50 years and now produces 82 varieties. Their focus is continuous improvement through innovation, quality and sustainable production while consistently meeting customer requirements.

When they evaluated Maxstim, they started with three stressed gerbera varieties.

The objective was to assess the programme under their own commercial growing conditions before deciding whether to introduce it more widely.

“We tested Maxstim on three stressed varieties and saw significant improvements in plant performance. After six months, we expanded Maxstim treatments to 2 hectares and now use Maxstim Ornamentals and Cynosa™ throughout our greenhouse operation.”

Today, Maxstim Ornamentals and Cynosa™ are used throughout the Oudijk greenhouse operation. The wider ornamental programme is designed to support stronger root development, greener plants, improved growth, greater stem length and increased productivity across ornamental crops.

The Oudijk story shows how commercial adoption develops. It starts with an evaluation under real growing conditions and grows from there.

Dirk-Jan and Laurens Oudijk are seeing a huge return on investment from Maxstim Ornamentals and Cynosa.
