Mullion Golf Course

Cornwall, UK

The beautiful Mullion Golf Club is situated on the cliffs of the Lizard Peninsula and framed by sandy coves and protected reed beds. It is the most southerly course in England and can be subjected to very inclement weather at certain times of the year. Course Manager, Gordon Tamblyn prides himself on the fact that his course is rarely closed through bad weather. Temporary tees and greens are unheard of at Mullion. Gordon maintains this proud record by using Maxstim to support plant health and maximise both root development and mass on his challenging tees and greens.

In a few days:

  • Healthier plants
  • Greener appearance
  • Denser, stronger root mass
  • Increased resistance to stress
  • Increased resistance to bad weather

Improving the look

Greener appearance

“I have definitely noticed an improvement in my greens since using Maxstim. For this time of year, the pitch marks on the greens are not as noticeable as they normally would be. This can only be because of the greatly increased root mass under the playing surface. When we have addressed the pitch marks recently, there is an audible crunch as you push the pitch mark repairer into the ground.”
